Couples are caned for being too close to each other in Indonesia

By on

A group of 13 men and women are beaten very badly by the authority in Indonesia, as they violated the rule of public decency.

The rule states, you should not get too close to the opposite sex in public if you are unmarried.

But before reading anything, we must know, what ‘too close’ means for them. “Too Close” includes hugging, kissing or even touching.

One woman among the group was given temporary reprieve as she was pregnant but the Deputy Mayor Zainal Arifin cleared that she would be spared. She has to face the same punishment after giving birth.
