Modi Wins the Biggest Indian State with Full Majority Despite Huge Odds
Yesterday was a big day for Indian Politics as results for five states where election happened in January, February, and March was announced.
And surprisingly, PM Narendra Modi’s Party, BJP, emerged as the biggest party in the biggest state, Uttar State.
BJP won the state by huge margins.
However, the performance of the same party wasn’t impressive in other states, as it lost in Punjab and Goa.
Narendra Modi, who won 2014 general election with a huge margin, was being considered as less effective by the opponents despite his strong leadership and foreign policies.
Opponent parties were propagating the demonetization as the biggest failure despite a huge support from local people across the country and this turned the game for ruling party BJP.
