Facebook, Google, Microsoft are Joining Hands to Battle Terrorist Content Online
The tech giants, such as Facebook, Google, Twitter and Microsoft have joined forces in order to tackle the extremist or terrorist content from the internet.
Their main motto is to identify those contents and remove them from the internet.
As per as reports, the companies are planning to make a shared industry database, which will use “hashes” or some kind of other unique digital fingerprint to identify the terrorist contents.
A spokesperson from the Facebook said, “with shared database, we could easily identify the terrorist contents on our respective platforms”.
However, it has also been cleared that, no personal data will be shared in this “shared database”.
