GM Fires 2,700 Employee At Once in Venezuela Over Text Message

By on

General Motors has fired around 2,700 employees after the Venezuela government ordered to seize the plant.

It has been reported that the workers received a text message saying that the company no more require their service and hence the severance pay would be credited to their bank account.

Workers say that the court in Venezuela ordered to seize the GM’s plant after hearing a 2000 case in favor of two dealers and hence the company has fired all its employee working in the country.

It has also been said that the company knew this since very long and that’s why the plant hadn’t produced any vehicle after 2016 starting.

Sadly, no any explanation from the company is made yet.
