Jamie Murray beat Andy Murray in the doubles of Rogers Cup

In the first mutiny of seniors, the younger brother Andy Murray was defeated by his elder brother Jamie Murray.

Jamie Murray made a team with a player named John Peers to get success in the 2nd round doubles game of Rogers Cup to be held at Montreal. In the doubles game, the team of Leander Paes and Andy were defeated by the team of Peers and Jamie at 6-4 7-6 (11-9). Andy and Leander tried to recover in the tie break of 2nd set from the score of 5-1 but they failed. Once, Andy was the number one player of Britain with eight single matches, and he beat Gilles Muller at 6-3 6-2.

Andy, aged 28, saved break points in four times in the starting service games. However, without facing any trouble he got victory within 65 minutes. These two brothers were team mates in Davis Cup also. Andy was the Wimbledon Champion of 2013. He had sufficient energy to defeat his elder brother, aged 29 years. The actual panic started after an hour of the game.

Paes and Andy together could save 2 points and they lost the chance to win another set though they moved to 3rd round. Jamie was the Wimbledon Champion of mixed doubles in 2007. Andy said that the game was awkward. He also said that he supported enough his elder brother to win. Jamie said that they both could deal very well the situations during games.

Serena Williams defeated Andrea Petkovic at 6-3 6-2 to get into quarter final. Simona Halep defeated Angelique Kerber and will play against Agnieszka Radwanska in quarter final. The teenager player of Switzerland – Belinda Bencic defeated Sabine Lisicki at 6-1 1-6 7-6 (7-3). John Isner defeated Nick Kyrgios and Kei Nishikori will play against Rafa Nadel in quarter final.
