Police officer retiring this week hasn’t taken any sick leave in 35 years

A police officer, who is retiring this week hasn’t have taken any sick leave in his whole 35 years of career.

It’s been reported that the 59 year old, Mike Flowers, from Tuscaloosa Police Department, is going to retire this week on Friday – but the interesting fact about him is, he hasn’t have taken any sick leave in the his 35 years of career.

When he has been asked how he manages to do this – he calmly replied that her mother in his childhood always made him get up early to go to school at any condition, and since then this become a routine.

He added that he once had measles, even then her mother made him ready to go to school.

On an average, a single police officer takes around 5 sick leave in a whole year.
